I’m a designer. I have been a designer all my life. As designers, we’re constantly focused on the beauty that surrounds us. We can often see it in things that many times others cannot. When we turn our focus to digital experiences, we still concentrate on the discovery and creation of beautiful things. But does beauty mean the same thing to everyone? Today I want to recognize the 5th annual Global Accessibility Awareness Day which is being celebrated tomorrow, May 19th, 2016. There are many types of events going on in my local DC Community and around the world. But I highly recommend you check out the Inclusive Design 24 series. Earlier this year I was presented with a “Powerful Woman Designer” award by wonderful organization who is doing amazing things to recognize women in technology in the Washington DC area – DCFemTech.
